This One-Of-A-Kind Crab was sculpted of 100% Romney Wool, over an upholstery foam base. He has sturdy, posable armature wire in all his legs. All the wool was hand-colored using non-toxic dyes, & his shadows and highlights were painted on using permanent fabric paint.

He measures 10" long x 9" deep x 6" tall

He is entered in the super fun "The Sea" Contest over on *Zhiah's page: [link]

Sorry it took so long for me to get back, had family stuff for the last month...

But to answer your question, no, this is a "One of a Kind" SCULPTURE!! It is needle felted, sculpted wool, so no patterns & no sewing. It would be possible to create another, unique crab, but it's not my goal to mass produce any of my pieces. I'd like to think of them more as ART!

Thanks for asking!

Very nice. Granted I stopped getting plush toys since the 90's, but this is something I'd definitely buy.

awesome work. I love the shading... that's very special.
I will try this on my next project, too :)

Thank You! On this one, I just used some watered down acrylic. But since then I've found a new technique that prevents any crusty wool texture. I've been using crushed chalk pastels (or eyeshadow). It gives you the shading without the dried paint crust!

Here's a link to a video-tutorial that I made to give you an idea!

You're Welcome! I'm always experimenting & trying out new techniques (mainly cause I'm lazy & don't want to hand mix different shades of wool!!)
